   We offer different versions of piston ring sets in original equipment quality as well as for older engines with the aim of reducing their compression loss and normalizing oil consumption. UM manufactures high-performance piston rings that are suitable for all types of combustion engines with cylinder diameters of 30 to 238mm. They are produced from cast iron and steel using the latest technologies - and optimized in their performance with electroplated, thermal-sprayed or other new coatings.

   Piston Ring Types:

♦  UM piston ring sets are designed to suit and fit on both original and replacement pistons.

♦  We produces a wide variety of compression rings: taper faced and scraper type compression rings, etc.

♦  Our product – mix covers also oil rings, such as chrome plated rings, with or without coil rings, besides the normal design.

   Materials:

   only high-grade materials are used for our piston rings. For normal or heavy loads, lamellar graphite cast iron material is used and for the highest demands, nodular graphite cast iron materials or steel material is used. Special coatings can be applied to the ring faces of piston rings to increase durability and avoid the formation of scuff marks. Chromium coatings or plasma spray coatings of metallic or ceramic materials are used for this purpose.
